Mortgage Loan Officer (Residential Mortgages)

Location: Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and presentation sites in the New Jersey area

Salary: $48,416.00–$79,541.75 per year, plus potential incentive and retention awards

What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans for purchases and refinances, including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, and first-time home buyer programs.
• Build on an existing referral network and identify opportunities to present mortgage programs to individuals and professional organizations.
• Serve customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
• Interview applicants, gather financial and property information, and analyze relevant data.
• Explain the mortgage process from application through closing.
• Monitor local real estate trends and changes in private and government-insured mortgage regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience marketing and originating residential mortgage loans and loan products.
• Proven sales, customer service, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel to branches, customers' homes and businesses, and presentation locations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and preferably industry-standard mortgage origination software.
