Loan Originator (Mortgage)

Location: Crystal Lake, Illinois

Compensation: Minimum estimated hourly rate of $15.00, plus eligibility for monthly commissions.

What you will do

• Procure new residential mortgage transactions and bring loan requests into the bank for processing.
• Assist borrowers with selecting mortgage programs, completing applications, and gathering supporting documentation.
• Assemble and review applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and analyze credit reports.
• Remain the primary contact for borrowers throughout the application and closing process.
• Develop referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other sources to generate new business.

Requirements

• At least two years of mortgage loan origination experience.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage product pricing, underwriting requirements, residential processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal real estate lending regulations, including Truth-in-Lending and RESPA.
• Ability to analyze financial information, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively.
• Outlook proficiency and ability to travel.
• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 is required.
