TL;DR
Training and Development Specialist (Environmental Management): Analyzing training needs, developing curricula, delivering courses, and managing LMS records for DOE Environmental Management and Hanford Field Office support with an accent on instructional design, training coordination, and compliance analysis. Focus on aligning training with DOE qualification matrices, supporting classroom and OJT delivery, and maintaining accurate learning data in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.

Location: Predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, United States; some remote support may be approved by the Contracting Officer.

What you will do

  • Analyze organizational training needs and develop curricula.
  • Coordinate training logistics and support classroom and on-the-job training delivery.
  • Maintain learning management system records and training data.
  • Align training programs with DOE qualification matrices.
  • Support business, procurement, workforce management, compliance, and audit coordination activities for the Hanford Field Office.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in a regulated Environmental Management environment.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of training or instructional systems design experience.
  • BA/BS in Education, Communications, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience with instructional design, facilitation, and learning management systems.
  • Strong clarity, organization, and coaching competencies.
  • Ability to work predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
  • Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required based on the assigned work.

Nice to have

  • Department of Energy or Environmental Management sector experience.
  • Instructional systems design certification.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
