Corporate Training Specialist

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ); the role is performed primarily onsite, with local travel between TAS facilities and adjustable hours to support training schedules.

What you will do

• Conduct training needs assessments using surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, performance data, and stakeholder input.
• Translate business needs into measurable learning objectives, curricula, role-based learning paths, and training plans.
• Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning content, including facilitator guides, job aids, knowledge checks, and evaluation tools.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for employees and leaders, adapting delivery methods to audience needs and operating schedules.
• Administer the Learning Management System, including course setup, assignments, user support, completion tracking, reporting, and data quality.
• Partner with Human Resources, department leaders, and subject-matter experts to integrate learning with onboarding, performance management, career development, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in training and development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; extensive relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• 2–4 years of experience developing and delivering training in a manufacturing company.
• 2–4 years of Human Resources experience and at least 2 years of Learning Management System experience.
• Working knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, needs assessment, curriculum development, and training evaluation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, Excel, learning systems, and e-learning or collaboration tools.
• Strong facilitation, communication, analytical, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and consulting skills.

Nice to have

• Certification in training and development, such as CPTD or APTD.
• Familiarity with performance management and employee development strategies.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
