Mental Health Visiting Professor

Compensation: $560–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours assigned.

What you will do

• Teach clinical nursing content in line with the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate nursing students providing patient care.
• Provide timely, documented feedback and remediation support based on student performance and learning needs.
• Prepare clinical assignments, assess written and laboratory work, and maintain current knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with course coordinators, faculty, college administration, and clinical agencies to address student and program needs.
• Support program assessment, campus retention efforts, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in West Virginia.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience in the area of instruction within the last five years.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
