Geotechnical & Tunneling Engineer (Underground Infrastructure): Performing geotechnical analyses and design calculations for tunnels, shafts, excavations, retaining structures, and other underground works with an accent on numerical modeling and geotechnical and structural calculations. Focus on developing Plaxis and Rocscience models, designing complex underground structures, and collaborating with geologists, structural engineers, and construction specialists.

What you will do

  • Perform geotechnical analyses and design calculations for tunnels, shafts, excavations, retaining structures, and other underground works.
  • Develop numerical models using Plaxis and Rocscience software.
  • Prepare geotechnical and structural calculations for underground works.
  • Collaborate with geologists, structural engineers, and construction specialists in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in underground projects.
  • Experience with Plaxis, Rocscience, Paratie, or similar tools.
  • Fluent or native Italian and fluent English required.
