Project Controls Manager - Aviation

What you will do

• Lead project controls across aviation programs from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost reports, earned value analysis, cash flow, payment applications, and change orders.
• Oversee detailed CPM and integrated master schedules using Primavera P6, including critical path, float, compliance, and recovery analysis.
• Coordinate risk identification, risk registers, mitigation planning, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and corrective actions.
• Prepare executive dashboards, monthly progress reports, performance metrics, and presentations for owners and senior leadership.
• Mentor project controls specialists, schedulers, and cost engineers while supporting proposals, staffing, and digital project delivery tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, architecture, business, finance, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive project controls experience on major infrastructure and capital programs.
• At least 5 years supporting aviation projects, including airports, terminals, airside facilities, baggage systems, or related infrastructure.
• Expertise in cost engineering, CPM scheduling, forecasting, cash flow analysis, risk management, change management, earned value management, and performance reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and experience reviewing contractor schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project controls deliverables.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, client-facing, and multi-priority management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with aviation capital improvement programs valued at $100M+ and work with airport authorities, airlines, and aviation stakeholders.
• AACE CCP, PSP, PMP, or PMI-RMP certification.
• Experience with Kahua, E-Builder, Deltek Acumen, Primavera Risk Analysis, Power BI, and enterprise project controls systems.
