What you will do
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations; maintain permits, licenses, policies, and regulatory reports.
- Conduct internal risk assessments, hazard analyses, EHS audits, and environmental site reviews, including chemical, equipment, and hazardous-material risks.
- Develop and maintain site-specific EHS programs, emergency response plans, environmental registers, and safety procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and manage corrective and preventive actions, including ETS actions.
- Deliver EHS training, onboarding, inductions, emergency drills, and ongoing safety-awareness initiatives for employees and contractors.
- Track EHS KPIs, lead improvement initiatives, and monitor waste reduction, resource conservation, and environmental-impact controls.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an EHS or similar role.
- Experience working with WorkSafe, EPA, and water authorities.
- Strong knowledge of Australian EHS regulations and standards.
- Strong communication, training, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance; police checks, employment screening, and reference checks are required.

- Working at Heights certification or experience.
- Experience in defence or manufacturing.
- Dangerous Goods Transport, Hot Work, or Lock Tag Try experience.
