HSE Advisor

Location: Wacol QLD, Australia, with regular travel between Wacol and Sumner Park

What you will do

• Partner with site leadership to implement and maintain HSE policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Coach leaders and frontline employees on HSE awareness, capability and accountability.
• Lead and support incident investigations, corrective actions and root cause analysis.
• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor HSE performance data and provide guidance on health, safety, environmental and sustainability matters.

Requirements

• Experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, recycling or a similar operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and contemporary safety management systems.
• Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between Wacol and Sumner Park.

Nice to have

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
• Training or certifications relevant to Australian manufacturing regulations and standards, including the WHS Act and AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.
