TL;DR

Location: Altona VIC 3018, Australia; full-time onsite role supporting the Laverton and Altona sites

hirify.global operates Circular Plastics Australia facilities that recycle used plastic bottles and containers into new bottles and packaging.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies for the sites.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identify hazards, manage risks, and drive corrective actions.
  • Advise leaders and employees on HSE and sustainability matters.
  • Lead incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to build workplace safety capability.
  • Establish and report on KPIs to continuously improve HSE and sustainability performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in HSE and sustainability management within an Australian manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability legislation.
  • Experience with risk assessment and incident investigation aligned with Australian regulatory standards.
  • Analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
  • Training or certifications related to Australian manufacturing regulations and standards, including the WHS Act and AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.
