Company
operates Circular Plastics Australia facilities that recycle used plastic bottles and containers into new bottles and packaging.
What you will do
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies for the sites.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identify hazards, manage risks, and drive corrective actions.
- Advise leaders and employees on HSE and sustainability matters.
- Lead incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to build workplace safety capability.
- Establish and report on KPIs to continuously improve HSE and sustainability performance.
Requirements
- Experience in HSE and sustainability management within an Australian manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability legislation.
- Experience with risk assessment and incident investigation aligned with Australian regulatory standards.
- Analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
- Training or certifications related to Australian manufacturing regulations and standards, including the WHS Act and AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.
