Sample Preparation Technician I (Food Testing)

What you will do

• Prepare, weigh, and analyze batches of samples using assigned methods and techniques.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment, maintain glassware, and prepare solutions for daily testing.
• Record test data and results accurately in logbooks, BookMaster, and eLIMS.
• Apply quality, safety, and environmental procedures in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, cGMP, GLP, and company standards.
• Identify rechecks and analytical difficulties, report issues, and recommend solutions or process improvements.
• Communicate effectively with department leaders, supervisors, clients, and coworkers while protecting proprietary methodologies.

Requirements

• Associate degree, or high school diploma with 0–3 years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work the second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
• Ability to work onsite in Des Moines, Iowa, with a commutable residence.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive hand movements, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
