What you will do

• Provide individual and group counseling, mental health support, crisis intervention, and social-emotional and behavioral interventions.
• Assess student needs and develop intervention plans, including behavior intervention plans.
• Build relationships with students and families, facilitate parent meetings, and connect families with housing, food, healthcare, and mental health resources.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and student support teams through MTSS/RTI processes and intervention planning.
• Monitor attendance, address chronic absenteeism, conduct home visits as needed, and advocate for equitable access to educational services.
• Maintain confidential records and support compliance and documentation for special education and 504 services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Valid Missouri license or certification as a School Social Worker, or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working with children and families; school-based experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and mental health practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a commitment to educational equity and inclusive practice.
• Satisfactory background check and ability to travel to the work location are required.
