Managing Director, CFO Accounting Advisory

Location: Tewksbury, Massachusetts, United States; full-time onsite role. Travel required up to 25% annually.

Salary: $275,930–$413,900 per year.

What you will do

• Advise CFOs, private equity sponsors, and senior executives through FP&A and finance transformation engagements.
• Lead interim FP&A support, finance function stand-up, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and operational finance initiatives.
• Design advanced financial models, management reporting, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
• Support PE-backed companies with value creation, performance improvement, cash flow optimization, and finance infrastructure build-out.
• Build and scale FP&A and Office of the CFO capabilities, including methodologies, tools, accelerators, and integrated service offerings.
• Develop client relationships, shape proposals, lead business development, mentor team members, and oversee multiple engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience, including FP&A or finance leadership, accounting or consulting firm experience, and work with private equity or PE-backed companies.
• Experience leading finance transformations, FP&A build-outs, operational finance initiatives, and complex client engagements.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of private equity environments, value creation, reporting, liquidity, cash management, US GAAP, and finance processes.
• Executive communication, business development, project management, and team leadership skills; CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar credentials are strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar FP&A and analytics tools.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Big Four or national accounting and consulting firm experience.
