Therapy Services Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)

Location: Virtual full-time role for candidates within reasonable commuting distance of Norfolk, Virginia; required in-person training may apply.

Salary: $29.27–$38.46 per hour for positions in Virginia.

What you will do

• Perform telephonic and virtual assessments to identify participant needs.
• Recommend the appropriate types and hours of supportive services to the managed care organization.
• Conduct objective and recurring assessments to determine program eligibility and required support levels.
• Collect participant history and document all member encounters according to documentation standards.
• Educate participants and managed care representatives about home modifications, durable medical equipment, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical and support teams to communicate recommendations, observations, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate-level college program in physical therapy or occupational therapy, or an accredited two-year program for a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least two years of experience in a social services or healthcare setting.
• Current, active, valid, and unrestricted physical therapist assistant or occupational therapist assistant license or certification in the applicable state.
• Additional certification or licensure appropriate to the specialty, as required.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required.
