What you will do

• Serve as a firmwide resource for global customs and trade matters, with a focus on customs and tariffs.
• Advise U.S. and foreign companies on import, export, global trade strategies, and compliance requirements.
• Develop strategies to manage duty costs and trade risks, improve international trade compliance, and increase supply chain effectiveness.
• Lead project delivery, implementation, technical research, and responses to client queries.
• Build the Customs & Trade advisory practice, develop new service offerings, and support business development.
• Lead and supervise teams while maintaining strong client relationships and service quality.

Requirements

• Four-year degree and at least 8 years of professional experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in public service, consulting, advisory, supply chain, or logistics focused on international trade, customs, or excise.
• Practical knowledge of import and export processes, trade procedures, and documentation.
• Technical knowledge of customs valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, and trade sanctions.
• Experience leading teams or projects, with the ability to supervise others and deliver high-quality client work.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s or advanced degree.
• U.S. Customs Broker License.
• Experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
• Background in international trade policy and international relations.
