Drawback Consultant (Trade Compliance)

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of customer duty drawback programs.
• Collect, analyze, format, and verify import and export data for accurate claims.
• Prepare and file timely drawback claims and maintain supporting documentation.
• Document customer data nuances, product identification codes, bills of material, claims, and account methodologies.
• Act as the primary liaison between customers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
• Escalate customer, data, and claim issues while providing regular updates on submissions and delays.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CBP compliance and duty drawback rules and regulations.
• Prior experience in international trade compliance or a customs environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and customer service skills.
• Licensed Customhouse Broker certification is preferred.
