Assistant Manager, Production (HVAC Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
• Supervise production staff and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues.
• Support employee training and development and participate in daily production meetings.
• Report key production metrics to management and promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment; HVAC or related industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of production planning, workflow optimization, and quality control.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk across the production floor, and occasionally lift materials up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
