What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and engines.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, basic tire work, and light engine repairs.
• Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools.
• Perform line-maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide road service when needed to return company equipment to safe operation.
• Complete company training and support fleet drivers and daily operations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a technician role involving gasoline and diesel equipment diagnosis and repair, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next three months.
• Experience or knowledge of maintenance for Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
• Working knowledge of suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE T1–T8 certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not required.
