Production Maintenance Technician II

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States; onsite in an active manufacturing environment with possible overtime and weekend work based on production needs.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot complex mechanical and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Repair or replace defective components using welding machines, machining equipment, multimeters, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Support equipment modifications, installations, and relocations, including documentation of completed work.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, contractors, and maintenance colleagues to resolve equipment issues.
• Mentor Maintenance Technician I employees and help develop their trade skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance.
• 10+ years of maintenance mechanic experience, preferably at the journeyman level.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as complex manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with saws, lathes, mills, welders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; coordinate resources; train others; and document maintenance activities.
