Maintenance Mechanic 2 (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite, St Charles, IL — 1st Shift (7am–3:30pm)

Salary: USD 26.26–35.05 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment including die cutters, sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyors, and bindery equipment
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
• Repair or reproduce parts using welders and machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders
• Make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity, and perform precise pressure/flow measurements
• Interpret complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to isolate malfunctions
• Handle building repairs, train other employees, and carry out duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery
• Advanced knowledge of machine control bodies to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures from electrical/electronic ones
• Knowledge of construction and assembly techniques, geometry, shop mathematics, and handbook formulas
• Knowledge of OSHA, HazMat, Lock Out Tag Out, and NEC
• Physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs, walking/standing 6–7 hours, bending/stooping 2–3 hours
