Account Manager (Engineering): Driving profitable territory growth by developing customer accounts, promoting technical products, and converting enquiries into orders with an accent on customer relationships, tender support, and sales planning. Location: Hybrid in Sheffield, UK, Monday to Friday during normal office hours, with regular travel to customer sites

What you will do
- Develop and execute territory growth plans covering John Crane products and services.
- Identify, secure, and grow new customer accounts while maintaining existing relationships.
- Promote technical products, respond to customer enquiries, and coordinate quotations with Application Engineering.
- Support delivery, invoicing, collections, sales reporting, and accurate opportunity updates in the C4C tool.
- Work with tendering and engineering teams, prepare customer visit reports, and analyze lost bids to improve hit rates.
- Follow health, safety, environmental, compliance, and ethical standards across the sales function.
Requirements
- Experience working within an engineering business.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to manage financial planning and budgeting.
- Ability to maintain company equipment and report faults or damage.
