Enterprise AI Architect

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home

Base salary: $174,000–$297,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Discretionary bonus eligibility may also apply.

What you will do

• Define and maintain enterprise AI architecture across model infrastructure, data pipelines, orchestration, integrations, and governance controls.
• Design reference architectures for agentic AI systems, multi-agent workflows, MCP-based tool use, and investment-management use cases.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise data and content platforms using RAG, embedding pipelines, and related technologies.
• Design AI governance covering model risk, explainability, bias monitoring, data lineage, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide Architecture Review Board evaluations and produce technology radars, vendor assessments, reference architectures, and ADRs.
• Evaluate frontier AI capabilities, run structured proofs of concept, mentor architects and engineers, and advise technology and business leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technology architecture, including 3–5 years focused on AI/ML architecture in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and fine-tuning, vector databases, RAG architectures, embedding pipelines, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGen.
• Experience with agentic AI architecture, multi-agent coordination, and Model Context Protocol or similar tool-use frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks and cloud-native AWS architecture, including AI/ML services such as Bedrock.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and experience working with Architecture Review Boards.
• Applicants must already have US work authorization that will not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, AI, machine learning, data science, or a related field.
• Experience in asset management, investment banking, fintech, investment workflows, data governance, and financial regulations.
• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks, model risk management, and emerging AI regulations.
• Familiarity with quantum computing implications for AI and blockchain or distributed ledger technology.
