Electronics Test Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Work with engineers to create module and payload performance test setups and execute test plans.
• Test and troubleshoot complex electronics and RF circuitry from component level through system level.
• Create, assemble, and validate documented test setups, custom fixtures, cable harnesses, and test station resources.
• Use and maintain spectrum analyzers, VNAs, automated power supplies, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers, DMMs, and oscilloscopes.
• Validate measurement solutions, including instrumentation and cabling performance.
• Document findings clearly and maintain antenna testing facilities and resources.

Requirements

• Must be eligible under U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or person eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
• High school diploma required; an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of relevant experience with an associate degree, or four years with a high school diploma.
• Experience with active electronics, schematics, mechanical assembly documentation, PCB soldering, rework, cabling, and automated test systems.
• Ability to create test-solution documentation, troubleshoot electronics equipment, collaborate across teams, and work under deadlines.
• Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills with excellent organization and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience testing active phased arrays or AESAs.
• Electronics experience in aerospace or a related industry.
• Technical knowledge of analog and digital electronic principles.
• Ability to read and make small changes to simple Python scripts.
• Experience with LabView or other test automation tools.
