Civil Design Engineer, Rail + Transit

Location: Canada; Toronto, Ontario

Salary: CAD 90,000–115,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to civil design for rail and transit infrastructure projects across Canada.
• Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, technical reports, and construction documentation.
• Develop solutions for grading, drainage, corridors, roadworks, utilities, site development, and transportation infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, architects, project managers, and track, structures, systems, utilities, and environmental specialists.
• Interface with clients, transit authorities, contractors, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform quality reviews, provide technical guidance to junior staff, and support proposals and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada is required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• Experience with transportation, rail, transit, municipal, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, roadway design, utilities, and site development.
• Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or similar design platforms, plus strong communication and client-facing skills.
