What you will do
- Serve as the Real Property Building Manager and oversee the care, custody, protection, and readiness of assigned facilities.
- Implement building security procedures, manage access systems and keys, escort authorized personnel, and support physical security reviews.
- Monitor HVAC, water, steam, electricity, environmental systems, safety conditions, hazardous materials, and energy-management compliance.
- Coordinate emergency response, facility shutdowns, fire drills, evacuation procedures, military exercises, and contingency planning.
- Submit and coordinate maintenance and construction requests, self-help projects, facility modifications, furniture layouts, and service calls with Civil Engineering and contractors.
- Manage inventories, records, equipment movement, facility documentation, issue tracking, and regular reporting to leadership.
Requirements
- Active or current Top Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or a Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
- Alternatively, 15 years of directly related experience with required certifications, including 8 years in the DoD.
- Ability to provide an emergency response within 30 minutes outside normal duty hours and remain on site until the emergency is controlled.
- Knowledge of facility management, physical security, emergency response, environmental systems, inventory control, and official records management.
