General Superintendent

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; full-time, onsite role with travel and supervision across a large geographic area as required.

What you will do

• Supervise multiple construction projects, field staff, subcontractors, and other superintendents.
• Recruit, organize, train, direct, and coordinate construction field teams.
• Prepare and maintain CPM schedules, monitor resources, and report project status, productivity, budgets, and progress.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and verify subcontractor certificates of insurance.
• Set quality-control standards, coordinate inspections and punch lists, and ensure timely project completion.
• Order materials and tools, approve invoices, prepare project reports, and support schedule and profitability goals.

Requirements

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Superintendent in special-projects construction, including supervision of multiple projects.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months and maintain active certification.
• Working knowledge of all construction crafts and specifications, with prior experience as a foreman, journeyman, or project engineer.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving ability and sense of urgency.
