What you will do
- Represent the company on the project site and establish expectations for safety, quality, housekeeping, conduct, and site operations.
- Review design and construction documents for constructability, phasing, temporary protection, site logistics, and field construction risks.
- Plan site logistics, traffic patterns, equipment placement, storage, staging, permitting, inspections, and pre-installation coordination.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, client, trade contractors, architects, and project team to develop work plans and maintain project schedules.
- Oversee trade contract execution, technical interpretation of drawings, construction methods, quality expectations, submittals, punch lists, and closeout activities.
- Maintain daily progress, weather, safety, incident, cost, time-and-material, and trade contractor performance records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least five years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Superintendent.
- Training or completed classes in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, job cost accounting, risk management, and subcontractor supervision.
- Ability to recognize and address safety concerns, manage site activities, interpret construction documents, and coordinate multiple trade divisions.
