What you will do

  • Lead technical scoping, planning, and delivery of GHG inventories, whole-building energy simulations, decarbonization roadmaps, and energy analytics.
  • Advise clients on energy codes, decarbonization mandates, carbon performance penalties, and low-carbon technology feasibility.
  • Integrate MEP systems with architectural envelope performance to improve operational efficiency and pursue EUI, Net Zero Carbon, and Passive House targets.
  • Translate energy and carbon data into models, financial metrics, and clear reporting for executive stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and manage sustainability software platforms, large environmental datasets, and automated reporting workflows.
  • Manage R&D partnerships and contribute to simulation methodologies, lifecycle performance analysis, and sustainability specifications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of advanced technical experience in energy simulation, computational design, or auditing within an AEC or specialized consulting environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field, with an active professional credential such as PE, AIA, or BEMP; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of low-carbon systems, building performance simulation, energy codes, emissions legislation, and carbon penalties.
  • Experience with high-performance building frameworks such as PHIUS or Passive House.
  • Proficiency with ClimateStudio, EnergyPlus, Grasshopper, and Ladybug for analytical automation and large-dataset processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate external technical partners and communicate complex engineering and financial metrics to executives.
