Associate Energy Engineer, NH (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when required.

Annual salary: $87,530–$97,260, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Support electric and natural gas energy efficiency projects from equipment procurement and installation through implementation.
• Review applications, customer participation data, engineering documents, and analysis spreadsheets.
• Collect and analyze energy efficiency performance data and calculate electric and natural gas savings.
• Inspect customer facilities, contractor services, and program implementation.
• Evaluate HVAC equipment, motors, controls, lighting systems, and other energy-efficient technologies against baseline equipment and building codes.
• Support energy efficiency program, marketing, technology evaluation, and research activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience, including the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors, and VFDs.
• Ability to review building plans covering HVAC, lighting, and control systems, with familiarity with local energy codes.
• Problem-solving, attention-to-detail, verbal, written, presentation, and standard office software skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Engineer in Training, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, or LEED Professional certification.
