TL;DR
Environment and Sustainability Manager (Decarbonization/Environmental Compliance): Leading the development and execution of environmental and decarbonization strategies, including greenhouse gas accounting, energy efficiency, and ISO 14001 environmental management with an accent on Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Focus on modeling emissions-reduction pathways, building sustainability dashboards, managing environmental risks, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives across facilities, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and suppliers.

Location: Hybrid, with commuting distance to the Corporate HQ in Boston, MA or the US manufacturing site in Clinton, PA; 10–15% travel required

Salary: $103,600–$176,400 annual base pay, with potential discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive plan eligibility

What you will do

  • Lead the tracking, validation, analysis, and reporting of Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Develop methodologies and systems to quantify and manage Scope 3 emissions across the value chain.
  • Build and execute decarbonization roadmaps, model reduction scenarios, establish KPIs and dashboards, and track progress against targets.
  • Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, suppliers, and other stakeholders on energy efficiency, conservation, responsible sourcing, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support the Environmental Management System, maintain alignment with ISO 14001, and conduct environmental impact and risk assessments.
  • Prepare sustainability reports and disclosures, monitor regulatory developments, and provide environmental training and subject-matter expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree is also considered.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in environmental, sustainability, EHS, or energy management roles.
  • Experience with ISO 14001; ISO 14001 training or Internal Auditor Certification is preferred.
  • Experience or certification in greenhouse gas accounting, carbon accounting, emissions verification, or the GHG Protocol is preferred.
  • Ability to work in the hybrid arrangement within commuting distance of Boston, MA or Clinton, PA, with 10–15% travel.
  • Familiarity with environmental and product-substance regulations, including REACH, RoHS, PFAS restrictions, TSCA, Conflict Minerals, California Proposition 65, EU MDR substance requirements, WEEE, and PPWR, is preferred.
