Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant, C&I Active Demand Response (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employees must be able to work up to five days in the office if required.

Annual salary: $120,960–$134,400, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the technical and operational delivery of commercial and industrial demand response programs, including event coordination and scheduling.
• Promote demand management programs to commercial, industrial, and municipal customers, while tracking leads and follow-ups.
• Manage and direct contracted Distributed Energy Resource Management System vendors supporting program operations.
• Develop ConnectedSolutions growth initiatives and pilots, reach new customer segments, and deepen participation from existing customers.
• Train internal and external stakeholders on demand response strategies, processes, and techniques.
• Represent Eversource as a subject matter expert at industry conferences, stakeholder events, and regulatory proceedings, while guiding Demand Response team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience in engineering, sales, product, program, project management, or energy efficiency/demand response.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, C&I curtailment strategies, connected devices, energy markets, DERMS, and virtual power plants.
• At least a mid-level understanding of building mechanical systems and computerized building controls, plus knowledge of electrical grids and battery storage.
• Understanding of APIs, digital and IT integrations, data architecture and analysis, financial principles, and Microsoft desktop applications.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Five or more years of experience delivering demand response programs or working with building management systems and controls.
