Vice President, Commercial Banking

Location: San Jose, CA, United States

Salary: $159,250–$185,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus, incentives, and restricted stock.

What you will do

• Identify target markets and develop a new commercial banking book of business.
• Build and maintain customer relationships across lending, deposits, and treasury-related products and services.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex loans, assess financial condition and financing risk, and prepare requests for senior management or the Loan Committee.
• Coordinate approved loan processing, documentation, servicing, and resolution of portfolio-related issues.
• Analyze market research and financial industry trends to recommend products, services, and market strategies.
• Represent the bank in customer, community, civic, and community reinvestment activities; travel may reach 50%.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related commercial banking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of banking operations, including deposits, loan administration, treasury management, and commercial banking products.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, regulations, and industry standards.
• Advanced relationship management, organization, time management, speaking, and writing skills.
