Field Service Engineer - Cargo Inspection System (CIS) Benelux

Location: Schiphol, Netherlands; field support across the south of the Netherlands and Belgium. Full-time on-site field service role. Applicants must be eligible for Dutch security clearance; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-energy X-ray cargo and vehicle inspection systems.
• Carry out site audits, manage spare-parts inventory, and support system performance improvements.
• Assist with new system installations, factory commissioning, and on-site commissioning.
• Provide rotating on-call and remote technical support to customers.
• Improve service operations and documentation while supporting customer satisfaction.
• Follow EHS standards and company quality procedures.

Requirements

• Engineering education or relevant experience, such as MBO 4 level in electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering.
• Field service experience covering installation, maintenance, and repair, together with a strong customer-service background.
• Strong electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and schematic-reading skills.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, sensors, actuators, and radiation-safety principles.
• Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switches, and firewalls, plus Windows and remote-support tools.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Dutch, Dutch security-clearance eligibility, and a driving licence are required.
