Valuation Analyst - Real Estate Advisory (Real Estate)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States — full-time, onsite at 50 Fremont St

Salary: $91,000–$124,300 per year

What you will do

• Analyze entity-, portfolio-, and property-level financial performance and forecasts.
• Conduct economic, market, and property-level research.
• Develop financial and real estate valuation models using discounted cash flow, direct capitalization, sales comparison, and cost approaches.
• Prepare narrative and summary valuation reports for client deliverables.
• Review third-party valuations of real estate assets and entities and provide commentary to audit teams.
• Support firm thought leadership and maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and independent study.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• One to three years of finance or valuation experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide client service, work ethically, learn continuously, and complete assignments accurately and on time.
• Availability to travel for client-related work.

Nice to have

• Progress toward a state certified real estate trainee license or valuation designation such as MAI or ASA.
• USPAP completion and/or real estate valuation coursework.
• Real estate asset management, audit, or valuation experience.
• Familiarity with CoStar and Argus valuation software.
• Strong writing skills.
