Senior Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the overall results of a multi-shift metals manufacturing operation across safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and talent management.
• Set operational objectives and align plant execution with operations and corporate business strategies.
• Champion lean manufacturing through the hirify.global Performance System, eliminating waste and building a continuous improvement culture.
• Plan and manage plant capital and operating expenses while driving financial performance.
• Lead workforce planning, staffing, performance management, training, coaching, and development of operations managers and frontline leaders.
• Oversee manufacturability, processes, equipment, and workforce readiness for new product introductions, while partnering with manufacturing, engineering, planning, information systems, and supply management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of successful management experience focused on operations and manufacturing processes, including 4 years at a senior level leading salaried employees.
• Experience with metal fabrication, assembly systems, or painting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish strategic direction and lead change initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth understanding and successful application of lean manufacturing principles, financial management, and operational planning.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, leadership, and communication skills, including the ability to influence executive leaders and production-floor employees.
