TL;DR
Senior Continuous Improvement Manager (Manufacturing): Leading continuous improvement across 3–6 manufacturing sites by coaching CI teams, facilitating Kaizens, and connecting the One Watts Performance System to measurable operational and P&L results with an accent on Lean methods, matrix leadership, and shop-floor execution. Focus on translating business strategy into improvement funnels, removing cross-functional barriers, and completing and sustaining complex manufacturing improvements.

Location: Hybrid in North Andover, MA; Groveport, OH; or St. Paul's, NC. Office attendance is required three days per week, Monday through Wednesday, with remote work available Thursday and Friday. Travel up to 50%.

What you will do

  • Lead continuous improvement across 3–6 manufacturing locations and coach onsite CI managers, hourly leads, and technicians through matrix leadership.
  • Connect the One Watts Performance System to measurable shop-floor results and sustained operational gains.
  • Facilitate high-impact Kaizens, complex problem-solving events, and real-time transformation activities on the manufacturing floor.
  • Translate business goals into cross-functional improvement funnels owned and executed by plant teams.
  • Identify high-value opportunities, track balanced-scorecard results, and connect CI work to AOP and P&L impact.
  • Lead CI Steering Committees and align Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical field, or at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing or operations experience with ownership of measurable results.
  • Direct experience in operations supervision or production management.
  • Expert knowledge of Lean methods, including VSM, SMED, TPM, and material flow.
  • Experience influencing teams that do not report directly to the role, including CI managers, hourly leads, and technicians.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to communicate data-driven recommendations from the shop floor to senior leadership.

Nice to have

  • Lean transformation expertise or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • SAP experience.
