Supervisor, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) (HVAC)

hirify.global develops and manufactures HVAC units that require electrical, controls, and quality testing before delivery.

What you will do

• Perform electrical and software tests on large HVAC units, including work with exposed voltages up to 1000V AC/DC.
• Create testing documents from schematics, specification sheets, AutoCAD drawings, and other engineering documents.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues using electronic, refrigeration, pressure, temperature, humidity, and software test equipment.
• Inspect equipment and certify compliance with UL 508A requirements while documenting test records and non-conformances.
• Program controls and related components through onboard keypads and software.
• Lead pre- and post-test assembly and disassembly, coordinate with engineering and production, and supervise testing crews.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience supervising employees with varied skill sets.
• 2–3 years of experience as an electrical test technician.
• 3–5 years of HVAC systems commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• 3–5 years of controls commissioning and troubleshooting experience, including PLCs, VFDs, and other electrical control devices.
• Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics, electronic circuits, schematics, three-phase power systems, fan systems, pumps, compressors, VFDs, PLCs, and electromechanical controls.
• Trade-school certification in electrical design, application, or engineering; ability to pass the Basic Electrical Exam.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of experience with ERP systems.
• SAP experience.
