CNC Machinist - Programmer/Operator

Location: Swedesboro, NJ, USA; full-time, onsite day-shift position.

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Machine components from stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotic materials, and other specified materials.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within .0003 inches using prescribed procedures and technical documentation.
• Preset and, when required, resharpen tools; adjust machine parameters according to instructions.
• Inspect finished work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, report equipment issues and unsafe conditions, complete labor and time reports, and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical school education and machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of CNC programming and operating experience.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and previous manual machinist experience.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, work orders, prints, sketches, and machining instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, resolve elementary technical problems, and understand and modify machine parameters.
• Detail-oriented, independent, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and complete work efficiently.
