CNC Machinist - Operator/Programmer

Location: United States; onsite CNC machining role. Day shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Evening shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Machine components from work orders, technical drawings, sketches, layouts, and written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within 0.0003 inches.
• Preset and maintain tools, including sharpening when required, and adjust machine parameters under supervision.
• Inspect finished work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Follow maintenance and safety procedures, report equipment issues, complete labor records, and maintain an orderly work area.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience is required.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and read and interpret machine drawings.
• Previous manual machinist experience and technical school education with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CNC programming languages, machine parameters, machining materials, mathematical calculations, and elementary technical problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, organization, communication, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Day shift: Mazak lathe experience; Haas or DMG lathe experience is a plus.
• Evening shift: Mazak mill experience; Integrex or Haas mill experience is a plus.
