CNC Machinist - Programmer / Operator

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Work from routings, technical drawings, sketches, layout sheets, and written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within 0.0003 inches.
• Set and maintain machine parameters, preset and resharpen tools, and work with stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and exotic materials.
• Inspect completed work using micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Follow equipment maintenance and safety procedures, report operating issues, complete labor and time reports, and keep the work area orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical school education and machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• Experience with numerical control machining and the ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and previous experience as a manual machinist.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, resolve basic technical problems, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal, written, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
