Pay scale: $98,343.51–$151,449.00 annually, with the hiring rate depending on experience, education, responsibilities, location, and performance.

What you will do

  • Conduct physical examinations, obtain medical histories, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans with physicians.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, write chemotherapy orders, and monitor treatment response.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and imaging diagnostics.
  • Manage treatment-related symptoms and side effects while providing psychosocial support, counseling, and referrals.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, side effects, and wellness strategies.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams; respond to urgent needs and maintain EMR documentation.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioners require an accredited MSN and Nurse Practitioner program, RN and current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the practicing state.
  • Physician Assistants require completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, current NCCPA certification, and state licensure in the practicing state.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Level I is typically entry-level with 0–3 years of experience; Level II requires at least 3 years, and Senior level requires at least 6 years.
  • The role requires mobility, occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, and work in clinical oncology environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience mentoring new advanced practice providers, precepting students, participating in research or clinical trials, hospital rounding, after-hours calls, staff education, or case management.
