Virtual Urgent Care/Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

Location: Fully remote within the contiguous 50 states; working hours from 9am-7pm EST. The role requires four 10-hour shifts per week, including one weekend shift per month; some geographies may include weekend on-call coverage.

Salary: $120,000-$155,000 base annually, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Conduct virtual Care OnDemand visits for acute illnesses, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication prescribing.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and assess quality-of-care interventions, social needs, home health, and durable medical equipment needs.
• Coordinate collaborative care plans with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacy, nursing, social work, families, and caregivers.
• Use the electronic health information system for visits and provide feedback to improve its interface.
• Support weekend clinical nurse triage in certain geographies and contribute to new clinical programs and virtual care practices.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in acute care, urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or internal medicine.
• Active, unrestricted RN and APRN licenses for Nurse Practitioners, or an active Physician Assistant license for Physician Assistants.
• Licensure and certification must remain in good standing, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses within 90 days when requested.
• Willingness to work four 10-hour shifts weekly, including one weekend shift per month, during the stated EST hours.
• Experience managing acute and chronic disease exacerbations such as CHF, diabetic, COPD, and hypertensive emergencies.

• Experience in geriatrics or conducting visits through telehealth video platforms.
• Experience supporting acute care initiatives in changing, fast-paced environments.
