Principal Associate Scientist, Bioanalytical Science

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $110,000–$138,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, qualify, validate, and execute ligand binding assays, including ELISA and MSD/ECL.
• Execute flow cytometry-based methods for pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, receptor occupancy, and target engagement studies.
• Design and conduct DMPK and bioanalytical studies supporting candidate selection and discovery, translational, and clinical programs.
• Process and analyze serum, plasma, and tissue samples from NHP and rodent studies.
• Generate, analyze, document, and present experimental data to internal program groups and external CROs.
• Maintain accurate lab records, ensure reproducible workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with biology and pharmacology teams.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Immunology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ligand binding assay platforms, including ELISA and MSD/ECL.
• Proven experience executing flow cytometry-based assays, ideally for receptor occupancy or target engagement.
• Experience analyzing PK/PD samples from NHP and/or rodent studies in discovery or translational research.
• Ability to independently execute experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, summarize data, and present findings.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, record keeping, and collaboration in a fast-paced team environment.
