Senior Research Associate, ID Immunology (Biotech)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts; site-based and full-time onsite. Not eligible for remote work.

Salary: $74,000–$118,400 per year, with potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Execute and optimize antibody binding assays using ELISA, Luminex, MSD, and Octet platforms.
• Design and perform competitive and capture ligand binding assays and functional serological assays, including blockade and enzyme inhibition assays.
• Conduct epitope-specific enrichment and depletion studies to characterize humoral immune responses.
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and develop and execute cell-based assays.
• Analyze experimental data with tools such as GraphPad Prism and prepare data-driven reports and presentations.
• Manage concurrent experiments, support assay automation and AI-enabled workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on preclinical, clinical, and IND-enabling programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in immunology, microbiology, vaccinology, or a related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with ligand binding assays and increasing independence in assay design and execution.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, data quality, and reproducibility.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing scientific and programmatic needs.
• Must already hold US work authorization and maintain it without future sponsorship; immigration sponsorship is not available.
