Mechanical Technician (HVACR)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; onsite at the engineering laboratory

What you will do

• Assemble and inspect compressors and related hardware for refrigeration products and prototypes.
• Weld and fabricate compressors, fixtures, and hardware using TIG welders, tools, machining equipment, presses, and fabrication systems.
• Perform electrical and leak testing and use mechanical and electrical measurement devices.
• Document assembly and inspection results accurately.
• Provide input on standard and non-standard work-process improvements.
• Maintain the laboratory and collaborate with product engineers and colleagues.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with mechanical equipment and manual inspection measurement devices.
• Troubleshooting, critical-thinking, communication, and personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or laboratory environment.
• Automotive or diesel mechanics, TIG-welding, machining, tool-and-die, soldering, or brazing certifications and experience.
