HVAC Technician Helper

Location: Jackson, TN (SML), United States; onsite, full-time. Ability to travel for projects and work overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Assist HVAC service technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in commercial and industrial settings.
• Support work on split systems, packaged rooftop and rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic systems, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, test parts, disassemble and assemble components, and complete necessary repairs.
• Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to maintain medium to large heating and cooling systems.
• Complete daily electronic documentation on a handheld device.
• Work independently and with a team to complete assigned tasks safely and on schedule.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and English language skills.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive, cooperative, teachable, self-motivated attitude and regular, punctual attendance.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical ability screenings, plus an MVR check where applicable, or have reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of commercial mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred.

Nice to have

• EPA Universal certification.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.
