EHS Manager II (Local Travel)

Location: Rockville, Maryland, USA; local travel required

Salary: USD 110,000–145,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate implementation of site EHS plans according to company policies and procedures.
• Work with senior management to ensure OSHA compliance and implement OSHA programs.
• Manage emergency response incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct or lead training on applicable OSHA requirements and safety policies.
• Evaluate EHS programs, issue recommendations, and implement improvements.
• Provide safety guidance to Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, and site personnel.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental studies from an accredited college or university.
• At least seven years of relevant work experience.
• Exceptional communication, tact, and diplomacy when working with field and corporate management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to complete assignments with little supervision; collaborative and self-directed approach.
• Proficiency with mobile devices and mobile forms.

Nice to have

• ASP, CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental studies.
