Senior EHS Specialist

Location: On-site in Painesville, Ohio, USA, Monday through Friday, with emergency availability for nights and weekends; up to 5% travel may be required.

Salary: $83,400–$124,544 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary EHS resource for the Painesville site and Reflective Solutions employees.
• Implement facility-specific EHS procedures and management systems to maintain regulatory compliance, environmental protection, and safe operating conditions.
• Lead programs covering HazCom, Process Safety Management, Management of Change, hazardous waste, Title V, stormwater, hearing conservation, Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, TRI reporting, and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews.
• Maintain OSHA logs, compliance records, permits, reports, and governmental and corporate database documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response, investigate spills, releases, injuries, fires, and near-misses, and maintain emergency plans and Job Safety Analysis programs.
• Conduct inspections, deliver training, mentor safety teams, work with regulatory agencies, and drive continuous EHS improvement.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required; a Bachelor's degree or higher in an EHS-related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety role.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Strong project management, problem-resolution, leadership, communication, mentoring, facilitation, and training skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets, and function-specific software.
• Must be able to work on-site in Painesville, Ohio, and support a 24-hour operation, including emergency coverage.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an EHS-related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, or REM.
• Experience in a research and development laboratory environment.
