Senior RF Engineer (RF hardware/aerospace): Developing board-level RF circuits and phased-array communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other aerospace platforms with an accent on RF front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, and phased-array antennas. Focus on designing, simulating, manufacturing, testing, qualifying, and supporting RF hardware through the full product lifecycle.

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site

Salary: $133,000–$161,000 per year

What you will do

  • Design and analyze RF circuits and systems across all phases of development.
  • Develop board-level schematics, PCB layouts, routing, simulations, and test designs.
  • Work on phased-array communication systems, including RF front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased-array antennas.
  • Own RF hardware from concept and requirements definition through part selection, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support.
  • Present engineering design reviews to customers and executives and contribute to proposals.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience designing, analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting RF electronics.
  • Experience with CST, ADS, and Altium or comparable professional tools.
  • Hands-on experience with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

  • MATLAB or other programming language experience.
  • Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification experience.
  • Worst-case circuit, failure mode and criticality, and reliability analysis.
  • Antenna design and EMI/EMC mitigation experience.
