Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design electrical subsystems such as power distribution, communication, and FDIR, managing requirements and trade studies.
• Develop and test reliable PCBAs, sourcing and derating components for harsh space environments.
• Manage the complete design cycle from initial concept and schematic capture through layout and test plan execution.
• Perform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power meters.
• Maintain technical engineering documentation and develop electrical interface documents for satellite subsystems.
• Mentor team members and implement improved design practices to raise the overall technical bar.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience taking designs from schematic to layout, manufacturing, and system integration.
• Proficiency with electrical design and simulation tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Spice.
• Strong fundamentals in analog/digital circuit design, power systems, signal integrity, and DFT/DFM.
• Experience with embedded control, FPGAs, MCUs, and communication buses (I2C, SPI, CAN, RS-422, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of reliability methods including Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), part derating, and FMEA.

Nice to have

• Exposure to satellite systems, bus avionics, or payload electronics.
• Working knowledge of space radiation effects and space design practices.
• Experience with EMI/EMC design and mitigation.
